Cameron Winklevoss Steps Down as Director of Gemini Europe
Cameron Winklevoss, who founded crypto exchange Gemini with his twin brother Tyler in 2014, has stepped down as a director of its European division.
Winklevoss' move was revealed via a filing with Companies House on Oct. 12. The move coincides with Gemini receiving virtual asset service provider (VASP) registration in the Republic of Ireland to provide crypto services there.
Gemini's head of Ireland and Europe Gillian Lynch has been appointed to Gemini Europe's board.
The exchange's former head of U.K. Blair Halliday's departure from the company's board was also confirmed by Gemini. Halliday has joined rival firm Kraken where he will serve as managing director for its U.K. operations.
